All cattle are grass-fed and spend the majority of their lives on pasture eating grass. As cattle grow, grains like corn and wheat are added to their diets. This “grain finishing” enhances marbling in beef, giving it the great flavor we all enjoy. All beef, no matter how it was finished, is a good source of many essential nutrients, including zinc, iron and protein.

And all beef is raised by farmers and ranchers who are passionate about bringing safe and wholesome beef to the table. As beef lovers, we appreciate all types of beef, and we believe this answer is a matter of taste.

We do have a collection of 100% Grass Fed Beef (which is also 100% grass finished) from a one farm program in Nebraska under the Niman Ranch umbrella.

Some. Our producers follow Organic practices. Ferry Farms is an environmentally verified plant as well as Bell & Evans. But it's very difficult for small farms to obtain organic certification. We do not believe the premium for the certification is worth it.

Simply put, we work with farmers who believe in doing things the right way and are transparent about their operations.

That said, Organic Certification for Beef is a Misleading Metric for Quality.

We do our best to never deviate more than 5% from the seize advertised, that is why every product has a weight-range. We can't control the living animal. These are beautiful living and breathing animals that experience happiness, sadness, peace and stress. They are social with other cattle, just like we are to each other as humans.

But they have been raised for the sole purpose of providing food to human beings. The beauty of the industry is that no two pieces are identical. Each animal has their own story corresponding to the family and farm that cared for them. We try to make the imperfect perfect; that is our job. However, we do not use cookie cutter stamps for our steaks. If that is what you are looking for, you are better off buying from companies like Sysco.

We receive inventory every week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If an item is not available immediately, we will be have it within a couple days. So if you don't mind waiting a couple days, go ahead and place your order with confidence.

If you require same day delivery, please select items that are currently in stock. Any items not in stock will be delivered as they become available.

Anything "sold out" means we are not quite sure when the item will be back in stock, so we cannot guarantee fulfillment. As a result it is not for sale.

We do not. Wild Forks is owned by JBS, the largest conglomerate in the world. Their business model focuses on buying when the yields are good, prices are cheap and flash freezing to sell when it makes sense. You are just buying supermarket beef with a fancy name.

At DayFarm we do EVERYTHING different.

It is unlikely. Supermarkets operate in high volumes with tight margins, focusing on selling as much as possible, as quickly as possible. With pork, the difference is even more pronounced because our sourcing, processing, and preservation standards are much stricter than a typical supermarket.

The proper curing and preservation process determines the quality of the meat. High-end restaurants and specialty butchers like DayFarm invest significant time and money to ensure meat is always fresh and consistent. Even supermarket pork is usually preserved for at least a week, while

all DayFarm pork is preserved and aged for at least 30 days. Some cuts are dry-aged from 21 to 60 days for optimal flavor and texture.

All our cuts are hand-selected and prepared by expert butchers. Each portion is nearly perfect, with a small ±5% margin of size variation.

You may find similar high-quality products at premium shops, but DayFarm is built based on the best-in-class suppliers, bringing high-quality pork at affordable prices. We maintain lean operations to keep costs low.

All of our flash-frozen products are fresh, frozen within the last 10–15 days, unlike some competitors who buy cheap meat, freeze it, and sell it months later—even a year old.

Finally, supermarkets can be misleading.

Labels such as “Grass Fed,” “Grass Raised,” “Choice,” “Prime,” and “Premium” are not regulated, so you might think you are buying Prime-quality meat, but often it’s just a label chosen by the supermarket.

Here’s what you need to know: anyone can label their meat as Prime, Choice, or Grass Fed, but legally, a cut only meets USDA standards if it includes “USDA” in the name, e.g., USDA Prime or USDA Choice. For example, “George’s Prime Pork” does not necessarily mean it is truly Prime.
